How can Hypnosis be the tool that changes your life?

GUIDED BY FLORENCE

Hypnosis is often misunderstood. It’s not a magical state, not a loss of control and certainly not something imposed from the outside.

It is, in reality, a deeply grounded experience, one that begins with relaxation. A slowing down of the nervous system, softening of mental noise, a state where the body feels safe enough… for the mind to open.

You remain fully conscious.

But the usual surface chatter, the analytical voice, the protective reflexes, gently steps aside and in that quiet space, something deeper becomes accessible.

Memories.

Sensations.

Emotional imprints that shape the way we react, love, fear, protect, not to directly relive them, but to understand them, to understand yourself.

What is Hypnosis?

A young girl and an older woman are sitting in armchairs, engaging in a conversation. The girl has dark hair and is wearing a black shirt and maroon pants, with her legs stretched out and resting on a footstool. The woman has curly blonde hair and is wearing a striped shirt and jeans. They are sitting in a cozy, modern room with light-colored walls, abstract artwork, small blue side tables, and a rug on the tiled floor.

Not “brief therapy”

Hypnosis is often described as a “brief therapy.”

As if it could erase suffering with a wave of the hand. Often hypnotherapy is used in order to work on the symptoms of the suffering, but not the suffering itself.

What is experienced is something far more profound.

Rather than bypassing pain, we approached it slowly, session after session, we followed the thread backward, through moments you might have forgotten, patterns I you have never questioned, memories from very young you can’t remember…

It’s not about fixing symptoms, it’s about meeting their origin, and in doing so, you can learn to know yourself, and so, to love yourself.

Matthéo’s Experience

After enough sessions, something starts to settle into place, like recognition.

I began to see who I am beneath the coping, beneath the stories I told myself. I could trace my reactions back to their roots: the early years and my relationship with my mother, the younger version of me who did the best they could with what they had.

And I understood : who I am today is the aftermath of everything that came before.

Through this work, I started to understand my reactions, the ones I judged, the ones I tried to hide, those moments where I disliked how I felt. I saw how they were built, where they came from, and little by little, compassion replaced judgment.

Over time fear of the unknown (of me) loosens its grip, and loved, steady self-acceptance begins to grow.

Why it belongs in the journey

Florence is part of this circle because inner journeys rarely begin or end in the mountains.

For some, hypnosis can open the door before departure, preparing the mind to look inwards and to slow down.

For others, it becomes a way to integrate what surfaced during the journey, a safe place to stay in touch with yourself, once you’re back.

A space to continue listening, at one’s own rhythm.
